There was a time when the smartphone market was divided into three segments – Budget, Mid, and Flagship. So you were forced to buy a flagship phone if you want lots of features. But now, you can get a high specification phone with the latest feature at just 30000. This range is called a budget flagship.
Here is the list of best budget flagship phones that under 30000 that are made in India.
- Realme X2 Pro
- Redmi K20 Pro
- Oppo Reno 3 Pro
- Samsung Galaxy A71
- Samsung Galaxy S9+
Lets know more about these phones in the list.
Realme x2 pro comes with 6.5 inches full HD+ super AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass 5 protection. You will also get a refresh rate of 90 GHz, which gives you a smooth viewing experience. The display is awesome, the color reproduction and viewing angle is good. On outdoor the visibility is a little low.
The device look premium, it has a glass back protected by gorilla glass. But it is a little heavy. The camera is a little bumped up so be careful while keeping it in rough places to prevent scratches. You will also get a fast in-display fingerprint scanner
In the rear, you get the quad-camera of 64+13+8+2 MP which comes with Samsung GW1 Sensor. The image taken from the main camera has great color contrast, saturation, and the dynamic range looks great.
You can even record 4K video. The front camera is 16 MP with Sony IMX 471 sensor, the selfies look great and well detailed even with the zoom.
It is powered by the flagship snapdragon 855+ processor. No doubt the performance you will get is of the next level. It can run any game in the ultra setting.
X2 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery which comes with a 50-watt charger that can charge to the maximum in just 30 minutes and you can expect a backup of 1 day.
K20 Pro has a 6.39-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display and the overall experience you get is excellent. It comes with HDR support which is perfect for watching videos on Netflix or youtube which has HDR content.
It comes with 7 generations in-display fingerprint scanner which may sound cool but to be honest, it isn’t that fast as I was expecting.
In K20 you get a glass back and is well built. In hand it feels great. In the box, you will get a good quality back case which makes the device look even more premium.
The main camera is of 48+13+8 Mp which comes with Sony IMX 586 sensor. It also performs great in indoor lighting. The main drawback is that it sometimes fails to focus on a close object.
In low light, the images have less noise and look ok. You can shoot video up to 4k with 60 fps. Slow-motion video recording is also supported and you can record it up to 960 FPS.
In front, you have a 20 MP pop-up camera. In portrait mode it cannot detect edge properly and in indoor lighting the image is ok and it cannot handle light properly if the pic is taken in direct sunlight and the background gets overexposed. You can record video up to 1080p.
It comes with snapdragon 855 which is also a flagship processor and you can do multitasking with heavy apps. K20 Pro has 4000 mAh battery, to charge it you get 18 Watt charger which can juice it up to full 100% in around 1 hour 30 min and you can get a backup of around 1 day.
The phone weighs 177 grams and has a shiny design. It looks like a glass back but it is plastic but looks stunning. Reno 3 Pro comes with a 6.4 inches super AMOLED display and the bezels are really thin. The screen to body ratio is 91%.
Reno 3 pro has 12 nm MediaTek Helio P95 which is an octa-core processor. It has two Arm cortex A75 at 2.2 GHz and six A55 at 2.0 GHz. For graphics, it has PowerVR GM 9446. The Antutu benchmark score is 2,22,930. It is not as powerful as snapdragon 855 but can play heavy games like PUBG at HDR settings.
It has all the sensors and security functions like a fingerprint, face lock, etc. The rear camera is 64+13+8+2 MP. NIght and indoor lighting photo taken from night mode looks good. You can zoom up to 20X on both videos and photos. Edge and color reproduction is great.
You can also shoot an ultra-clear photo at 108 MP by changing the setting from the expert mode. In front, you have a 44+2 MP dual camera that can only record video up to 1080p.
It has a 4025 mAh non-removable battery and comes with a 30-watt charger. In just 20 minutes it can charge the battery to 50%
A71 has a 6.7 inch full HD plus super Amoled screen. It has the aspect ratio of 20:9 and has a 1080p resolution. The display is sharp as you would expect from Samsung’s phone. It doesn’t have HDR support and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner which feels a bit slow.
The back looks like glass but actually it is plastics and shines when it catches the light. Even though it is plastic the build doesn’t look cheap. A71 comes with 2 SIM and dedicated memory slots.
It has a 4500 mAh battery and comes with a 25-watt charger. The backup will depend upon your usage. The 25-watt charger can charge the device fro 0 tp 51 in just 30 minutes.
In the rear, you get L shaped quad-camera of 64+12+5+5 MP. In daylight the image looks nice but may miss details, not bad for a mid-range phone. Macro shots are great, not better as compared to the competitor. It can record 4k videos with EIS up to 30 FPS, you can also make it smoother with super steady mode.
The selfie camera comes with 32 MP and the selfies look great. You can also record 4k video with it.
A71 is powered by Snapdragon 730 octa-core chipset which is a disappointment. At this price point almost all the competitors have a snapdragon 800 series processor.
Heavy games like PUBG may look good because of the display but the gameplay is not that smooth. It ok because on this phone Samsung has focused more on the camera and looks.
I know it is a 2-year-old phone but gives good competition to these phones. S9 plus cost 65k in 2018 but now it only cost 29,999. S9 plus has a simple design and is lightweight.
It has a 6.2-inch quad HD + super AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. With the edge display, it looks premium
One thing to keep in mind is that Samsung provides updates for up to 3 years, so 2021 will be the last year for updates on this phone. By simply flashing custom ROM will solve this problem.

In has Exynos 9810 chipset an octa-core CPU and for graphic it has Mali G72. It scored 2,51,387 in antutu benchmark.
For security, it has a feature called intelligent scan which combines the iris and face recognition technology together. It is a great feature but will annoy those who wear glasses.
The main dual camera is 12+12 MP with a variable aperture that means it can capture a lot more light. The images look great at artificial and low lighting conditions. In the outdoor lighting condition it oversaturates the images but you can change it by using manual controls.
It can shoot 4k video. In front, we have an 8 MP camera and it can take some decent pic but lacks some details.
It has a 3500 mAh battery and you will get a screen time of 4 hours. If you are a heavy user you will have to recharge it every evening.
